Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers byla rocková skupina, většina jejích členů pochází ze Spojených států. Vznikla v roce 1976 a zakládající členové byli: Tom Petty (kytara a zpěv), Mike Campbell (kytara), Benmont Tench (klavír, varhany, harmonium a zpěv), Ron Blair (baskytara a zpěv) a Stan Lynch (bicí a zpěv). Největší hity jsou například "American Girl", "Breakdown", "The Waiting", "Learning to Fly", "Refugee" nebo "Mary Jane's Last Dance".
